Barry, William F. (William Farquhar), 1818-1879
Variant namesOrganized the artillery of the Army of the Potomac, and served as chief of that artillery from 27 July 1861 to 27 Aug. 1862. Also served as commander of troops on the northern frontier from the Fenian raids of 1866 until Sept. 1867.
