Whitford, John N. (John Nathaniel), 1835-1890
Variant namesJohn N. Whitford was Colonel of the 67th Regiment of the North Carolina Infantry during the Civil War. In a letter, Whitford writes Mr. Jesse Jones of Core Creek, N.C., exhorting him to persuade his sons to return to their company under the conditions of a general pardon.
