Auchmuty, Samuel, 1722-1777
Auchmuty, a Harvard graduate (1742) and Anglican clergyman, was a son of Robert Auchmuty judge of the Vice Admiralty Court of Boston (1733-1741). In 1763 Samuel Auchmuty was assistant minister of Trinity Church in New York.
