The first seven meetings continued to be held there at approximately annual intervals until 1958. As the international character of the meetings increased they began to move to cities such as Geneva (1958, 1962), Kiev (1959), Dubna (1964) and Vienna (1968), and it became known as the International Conference on High Energy Physics.
