Forest Crossen, author of "The Switzerland Trail of America" (published 1962) and the series "Western Yesterdays" (published 1963-1979) moved to Boulder with his family in 1923 and graduated from Boulder High School. He was an Army sergeant assigned to trains between 1942 and 1945. Crossen lived from 1905-1992.
