Loret Miller Ruppe (b. Jan. 3, 1936, Milwaukee, WI–d. Aug. 7, 1996, Bethesda, MD) was the great-grandfather, Frederick Miller founded Miller Brewing Company. She attended Marymount College, New York, and Marquette University, Milwaukee before marrying Pilip Ruppe and moving to Houghton, MI. Her husband was elected to Congress in 1966. Loret Ruppe was appointed as Peace Corps Director, 1981, by Ronald Reagan and served until 1989. She was then appointed Ambassador to Norway by George HW Bush, 1989-1993
