Standard, William L.
William L. Standard served as the general counsel for the National Maritime Union (N.M.U.) from 1937-1949.
This collection reflects Standard's duties as the union's representative in lobbying for legislation and in litigation before the National Labor Relations Board, federal and state civil courts, the War Shipping Administration and the Bureau of Marine Inspection and Navigation.
