Biographical notes:

The Board of Economic Warfare was set up by President Franklin D. Roosevelt during World War II and made responsible for the procurement and production of all imported materials necessary both to the war effort and the civilian economy. The Board was divided into three main parts, the Office of Exports, Office of Imports, and Office of Economic Warfare Analysis.
