Dr. Joseph Jones was born in Liberty County, Ga. the son of Rev. Charles Colcock and Mary Jones. Brother of historian C.C. Jones. Served as a chemistry professor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
Charles Edgeworth Jones was a Civil War historian. He was the son of Charles Colcock Jones.
