Sloan, James, 1789-1868.
Biographical notes:
Came to Black Rock from Pennsylvania in 1810. Worked as a boatman on the Niagara River and Lake Erie, for the government during the War of 1812, and as a stone contractor during the construction of Buffalo Harbor.
