Biographical notes:

Robert Flournoy (1763-1825) was born in Virginia. He married Mary Willis Cobb in 1794. Flournoy was a Captain in the 1st Georgia regiment of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. A wealthy land owner, he also served in the Georgia Legislature.

Francis Tennille (1747-1812) was born in Prince William County, Virginia. He served in the Revolutionary War with the Second Georgia Battalion, first as a 1st Lieutenant in 1777, and later as a Captain in 1792. Tennille married Mary Elizabeth Bacon Dixon.

Samuel Beckcom (1760-1825) was born in Granville, North Carolina. He married Elizabeth Houghton (1769-1805). Beckcom died in Milledgeville, Georgia.

Abraham Twiggs was a Major of Georgia Militia and an Aide de Camp to Major-General John Twiggs during the Creek Indian troubles in the early nineteenth century.

Fanny Hickman, along with her children John, Grove, Henry, William, Hetty, Eliza, and Frank, were granted freedom from slavery in 1840. Her emancipation paperwork mentions her intermarriage with Paschal Hickman.
