Tennille, Francis, 1747-1812
Variant namesFrancis Tennille (1747-1812) was born in Prince William County, Virginia. He served in the Revolutionary War with the Second Georgia Battalion, first as a 1st Lieutenant in 1777, and later as a Captain in 1792. Tennille married Mary Elizabeth Bacon Dixon. He was an original member of the Society of the Cincinnati.
