Biographical notes:

Richard Hollerith worked as an industrial designer. He designed and developed office products, computers, printers, office space, and household products. He served as president of the Industrial Designers Society of America from 1977 through 1978. Hollerith's career was centered on the universal design philosophy and he created accessible designs and products for a wide range of users. He was a member of the President's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped and served on the board of directors for the National Center for a Barrier Free Environment.
