Dr. Martin L. Kilson, Jr. is Harvard's Frank G. Thomson Professor of Government, Emeritus. He received his bachelor's degree from Lincoln University in 1953. From Lincoln, Dr. Kilson went on to earn his master's degree and Ph.D., respectively, in political science at Harvard University. In 1968, Dr. kilson became the first African-American to be granted full tenure at Harvard University.
