Correspondence, legal briefs, clippings, and other papers relating to accusations by the L. S. Donaldson Company and the Minneapolis House Furnishing Company that the union violated labor laws by picketing their stores. The union had picketed because the two companies bought and sold furniture not made in Minnesota. The companies' accusations were upheld by the National Labor Relations Board in a ruling that stopped picketing by the union, but allowed the union to distribute leaflets and other advertising to support its position. But in 1964 this ruling was overthrown by the U.S. Court of Appeals.
