An artificial collection consisting of photographs donated to Natick Historical Society by many different sources. The collection concentrates on photographs of people and places in Natick and includes photographs of leading citizens and families such as the Cheneys, Stowes, Algers, and Walcotts. It also includes photographs of places throughout the town including Natick center, South Natick, Eliot Street, East and West Central Streets, the Charles River and dam, ponds, parks, and landmarks. There are photos of schools, the fire department, police department and other town departments as well as events such as parades, dedications, and Fourth of July celebrations. Leisure activities are represented by photographs of sports teams and players along with organizations and societies in town such as fraternal organization and women's clubs. Also includes photographs depicting Natick's economic growth with views of businesses, factories, and farms. Many of the early images were created by Edgar Hayes and Horace H. Potter. Persons represented in the photographs include Henry Wilson, U.S. Vice President, and his family.

Wilson, their son, Henry Hamilton Wilson, their adopted daughter, Evangeline Vreeland Wilson Carpenter, Mrs. Wilson's sisters and mother, and political colleagues of Henry Wilson. Includes communications from the U.S. Senate and other governmental bodies. Persons represented include L. Anne Howe Coolidge (sister of Harriet M. Wilson), William L. Coolidge (executor of Henry Wilson estate, husband of Harriet Wilson's sister), Caroline C. Howe (sister of Harriet Wilson), Mary T. Howe (mother of Harriet Wilson), Mary Ann Monroe (sister of Harriet Wilson), and Henry Hamilton Wilson (son of Henry and Harriet M. Wilson and officer with 104th Regiment, U.S. Colored Troops). Series I includes correspondence, military records, biographical information, inventories, calling cards, estate papers, stock certificates, financial papers, memorials, will, information on Natick Debating Club, and a finding aid. Series II contains copies of many (or all) of the documents in series I and other items such as book reviews, correspondence, deeds, certificates, monuments, information on Wilson's shoe shop, the Underground Railroad, military politics, a vessel named after Henry Wilson, and information on southern spy Rose Greenhow. Series III (Digital archives) contains Wilson folder list, exhibits and other related materials owned by the Natick Historical Society, monuments, and other files.
