A collection of correspondence primarily to and from Leslie Mann. Leslie Mann became the secretary-treasurer of the Amateur Athletic Federation in 1929. In 1932, this federation combined with the US Amateur Baseball Association and the Municipal Baseball Association, became the USA Baseball Congress. Mann was the executive vice-president. In 1936, during the Olympic games in Berlin, the International Baseball Congress was created with 21 nations joining. Correspondence also includes All-World team vs. US Olympic team as a demonstration sport. In 1939, the International Amateur Baseball Federation had a tournament in Havana, Cuba.

There is some correspondence relating to Ruth's involvement in forfeited games, ejections, off-field activities and Babe Ruth Day in 1947.

Title: American League Papers : papers 1876-1998 1930-1990.

A collection of correspondence, subject files, player files, newspaper clippings, press releases and various other files which were kept by the American League office. The bulk of this collection was originally produced in the Chicago office while William Harridge was president of the league. In 1959, Joe Cronin became president and moved the office to Boston and only the active files were forwarded. When Harridge died in 1971, all files were shipped to Boston. The subject files, series III, has a total of 57 boxes and make up a majority of this collection. The Player files, series VI, has 24 boxes.
