The collection contains photos -- albumen, tintype, cyanotype, and daguerreotype images -- as well as genealogical information on the Webb & Price families. Photographs include images of Thomas and Rachel Ann Levering, Margaret Lightfoot, James M. Price, Rebecca Sinclair Turner, Swarthmore Preparatory School, a preparatory department of Swarthmore College which was abolished in 1893, and others. Many of the photographs are of unidentified individuals. There is also a typed genealogical history of Philip and Rachel Price compiled by their grandson, James Martin Price, and a highly inscribed copy of Robert Barclay's An Apology for the True Christian Divinity, London: T. Sowle, 1703, with numerous indications of births in the Price family.

This collection consists of letters, memoranda, notes of members of the Society of Friends, chiefly from the Pemberton and Parrish families of Philadelphia. Letters are of personal and religious matters. Among correspondents are John and Ann Ball, Robert Barclay, Abraham Scott, and Richard Vaux. Papers of the Society of Friends include epistles, testimonies, memorials; extracts from earliest records of the Friends meetings in America at Salem and Plainfield, N.J.; and extracts from Friends writings. Among the other manuscripts are: Friendly Association for Regaining and Promoting Peace with the Indians minutes, 1756-1759; James Carter account of sufferings of his family as slaves, 1807; Ann Parrish case book recording her "Visitations of the Sick," 1841; transcripts of Joseph Parrish articles on capital punishments, Friends doctrines, the popular worm, and the death of John Randolph; Robert Proud "extracts of letters and memorandums relative to Pennsylvania in former times," 1785-1806.

The collection contains two letters from Robert Barclay to William Penn, 8 February 1685/86, on spiritual matters and referring to East Jersey, and 9 December 1687 referring to financial matters; his daughter Christian's receipt book, 1697-1723, with indexes to the first and second of three parts concerning home remedies, cooking recipes, and cloth dying, and containing two pages of marriage and birth records of her children with Alexander Jaffray. Also, a manuscript map, copied by Samuel Woodward, of the Barclay tract in Pennsylvania surveyed and described by Samuel Rhoads, Jr., 1835, showing cultivated areas, mills, and coal seams, with two letters by Samuel Rhoads describing the tract in Bradford County; and a manuscript map of sundry tracts of land situated in Northumberland and Luzerne counties, Pa., ca. 1794. Removed from the collection and cataloged separately are Barclay family copies of the books: two copies of Robert Barclay's An apology for the true christian divinity (Birmingham, 1765); Truth triumphant through the spiritual warfare, christian labours and writings (London, 1692); first French edition of Apologie de la veritable theologie chretienne (London, 1702). Also removed are Walter Thom's Pedestrianism (Aberdeen, 1813); Robert Barclay Allardyce's Agricultural tour of the United States and upper Canada (Edinburgh, 1842); and A genealogical account of the Barclays of Urie (London, 1812) with manuscript annotations and genealogical notes bound in.
