Also inquiring whether Macrone intends to continue advertising a novel by Dickens and whether he intends to retain possession of Dickens' letter [concerning Gabriel Vardon], "respecting which, a misunderstanding has arisen" between Macrone and Dickens.

Discussing his disagreement with Macrone, noting that Hansard knows nothing of the situation and that Dickens "decline[s] entering into any negociation with Mr. Macrone having reference to any other engagements ... so long as that misunderstanding remains in its present state."
