Margaret Byrne Professor of History at Stanford (1911-1952; emeritus, 1952-1977) and chairman of the History Department (1935-1952). Director of Independent Studies and of the Institute of American History. Especially well known for his work on American political parties, voting behavior, and presidential leadership, Professor Robinson played an integral role in the establishment of the Western Civilization course at Stanford.

Edgar E. Robinson was the Margaret Byrne Professor of History at Stanford University (1911-1952; emeritus, 1952-1977) and chairman of the History Department (1935-1952). He also served as Director of Independent Studies and of the Institute of American History.
