The papers of John T. Frederick are made up of subject files which document his many faceted career. There are copies of lectures, research, and other course related material concerning his teaching. As founder and editor of The Midland, he kept records including an account book, correspondence, subscribers lists, and a nearly complete run of the journal. Frederick's writing is represented with manuscript material including early drafts and galley proofs of his novels. There are over seven boxes of general correspondence, plus numerous other correspondence folders devoted to specific subjects or people.
