This collection consists primarily of letters, receipts, and legal documents of the Pearsall Family. The letters speak of everyday life ca. 1740-1840. Included also are a number of Quaker meeting letters. Various records relate to Nathaniel Pearsall and Robert Bowne's real estate business, Bowne and Pearsall. Included with these are land deeds, receipts, and letters of argument which evidence Joseph Pearsall's role in his father's business.

The collection consists of two fairly standard indenture documents, the first "entered into this twenty first day of December 1832 between Simeon Adams and William Cooper", and the second "entered into the twenty ninth day of September 1834 between William Cooper and William F. Pond." Both were signed and sealed in Wilkinson County, and concern the sale of land in Cherokee County, and Walker County.

Martha Elizabeth Rison Fones (1850-1903) was an early member of the Little Rock Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Colonial Dames of America in Arkansas, and was president of the Aesthetic Club. Her husband was James Amon Fones, vice president of Fones Brothers Hardware Company and the first president of the Little Rock Board of Trade, which he helped to establish.
