Sir Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch was a Cornish writer who published under the name Q. His major work is Oxford Book of English Verse 1250-1900.
Author, educator, and literary critic.

Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch was born in Cornwall, which he returned to after university and a short stint as a journalist. Quiller-Couch is best known for his anthologies of English verse, such as the Oxford book of English verse and a number of novels including; Dead man's rock (1887), The ship of stars (1899), and Vigil of Venus (1912).

Quiller-Couch, Professor of English, Cambridge University (1912-1944). Originally from Cornwall, he is often associated with this area of England. He wrote a memoir of Arthur John Butler, husband of Mary Caroline Butler.

The papers of Harold D. Hazeltine (1871-1960), which were deposited in the Harvard Law School Library between 1955 and 1957, span the years 1898-1954. The papers consist exclusively of letters addressed to Hazeltine, accompanied by his detailed notes about each of his correspondents. These notes provide biographical and bibliographical data, the circumstances of Hazeltine's acquaintanceship with each individual, and the individual's contribution to and standing in the legal-academic world of the first half of the 20th Century. Hazeltin'es correspondents were English, American and Continental European legal scholars, historians, members of the bench and bar, and a few other English scholars in other fields, such as economics and philosophy. Many of these letters and notes are of a social nature, such as invitations and thank-you notes.

Writings by J. M. Barrie, postcards, scrapbooks, photographs, and a toy theater version of Peter Pan related to the family of Sir Arthur Thomas Quiller-Couch. J. M. Barrie writings consist of a photograph album and manuscript storybook by Barrie, "The Pippa and Porthos," telling the story of Bevil Quiller-Couch and Barrie's dog Porthos on a walk in Fowey, Cornwall. Postcards consist of postcard albums and loose postcards, probably collected by Foy Felicia Quiller-Couch. Postcard correspondents include Bevil and Mabel Quiller-Couch and recipients include Foy Felicia, Bevil, Arthur Thomas, and Lilian Quiller-Couch. Two scrapbooks contain holiday cards, probably collected by Louisa Quiller-Couch, and miscellaneous engravings and clippings, many of which were colored by an unidentified child. Two photographs include a signed portrait of Barrie and an unidentified building. The Peter Pan toy theater includes paper cutouts and boards showing the characters and scenery from Peter Pan.
