Papers, 1910-1911.

Papers relating to Sir Charles Henry Frankland collected by Ralph Frankland Payne-Gallwey, a descendant of Frankland. Payne-Gallwey's papers include family photographs and his criticism of accounts of the lives and marriage of Lady Agnes Surriage and Sir Charles Henry Frankland. Among the accounts Payne-Gallwey refutes are a novel by Arthur Quiller-Couch, a novel by E. Lassetter Bynner, a ballad written by Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr., and a biographical sketch of Frankland by Elias Nason. The collection contains a letter from Quiller-Couch responding to Payne-Gallwey's criticisms.
