Also includes genealogical correspondence; transcribed family data from Bibles; ancestor charts and family group sheets; and birth, baptism, marriage, and death certificates. Of note is a letter from Daniel Webster, 1845; memoir of Rev. William Benjamin, 1860; memoir of a whaling voyage by John R.W. Benjamin (1831-1906), 1851-1852. Photographs include tintypes, cartes de visite, photographs, and postcards of cranberry bogs, Shinnecock Indians, the Long Island Railroad, and portraits.
