Ebenezer J. Hill was born in Redding, Connecticut on August 4, 1845. He attended Yale College (Class of 1865) and served in the U.S. Army in a civilian capacity in 1863. Hill was a businessman and politician in Norwalk, Connecticut. He was elected to the U.S. Congress and served from 1895-1913 and 1915-1917. He died in 1917.
