George Claude, inventor, physicist and businessman, founder of the Air Liquide Company. A staunch nationalist during the 1930s, member of the Action Française, candidate for legislative elections, he notoriously endorsed Hitler's Germany during and after the invasion of France, and was condemned to life imprisonment in 1945.
