Correspondence of Covington, from Madison Co., Indiana, a very prominent business leader in Cincinnati after 1851. From Baton Rouge, La., in 1841 he wrote his grandfather, Samuel Fulton at Rising Sun, Indiana, about his successes and difficulties in disposing of a cargo of provisions. To him in 1847 John L. Robinson, later Congressman, wrote from Rushville, Indiana, about his candidacy for the Democratic nomination; and in 1848 Congressman Thomas J. Henley, from Washington, D.C., about public affairs and Covington's Madison, Indiana, newspaper.
