Springfield, Ohio, pre-war militia officer, eventually lieutenant-colonel of 16th O.V.I. which was commanded until March l864, by Col. John F. De Courcey. His commissions, orders, reports, letters, and pension application - most of them from 1861 to 1864; and a 23 page ms. narrative of his military career.
