Letters, 1857-1864.

A collection of letters, 1857-1864, addressed to Alexander Bryan Johnson in which the younger Johnson is very candid and frank with his father. Apparently they had a close relationship. In a concise writing style, the younger Johnson tells his father of his work on the state court of Appeals and, later, the difficulty of establishing a private practice after eight years in elective office.
