General fund unclaimed checks, April 12, 1928-June 5, 1953.

Volume records checks issued by the treasury but never claimed. Included are the date the check was issued, the check number, the name of the payee, the amount, the fund on which the check was drawn, the date it was returned unclaimed to the treasury by the post office, and its final disposition and date. Most checks were paid back into the treasury, while a few were remailed.
