This collection include various works created, compiled, or purchased by Winthrop Sargent. These include five notebooks purchased from the library of George Chalmers, including a catalogue of medals from Julius Caesar to the Emperor Heraclitus, another collection catalog, and historical notes; a "List of Books Read," 1846; a commonplace book, 1845-1846; a volume of historical notes; and a scrapbook of correspondence, clippings, and a map related to Sargent's historical interests, 1854-1868.
