Federal program grant files, <1969>-[ongoing].

To further the mandate of the Dept. of Environmental Protection, the Bureau of Municipal Facilities was established in 1989 under the department's deputy commissioner for municipal assistance to administer grants to municipalities for water supply and water pollution projects, previously administered by the Division of Water Pollution Control and the Division of Water Supply. This series was first created by the Division of Water Pollution Control and is now maintained by the Bureau of Municipal Facilities to administer reimbursement costs incurred by municipalities for construction of waste water facilities; the federal portion of this program is authorized by the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (PL 92-500, s 205G; PL 95-217).
