Firm book, 1834-1841.

The title on the spine of this volume is "Firm book," which was a record created by the Branch Bank at Mobile in order to keep track of the goods and chattels levied by sheriffs from the Branch Bank's debtors according to fieri facias. Included are the suit title (name of defendant), the suit number as it appeared in the execution docket, the county, description of the debt, and a description of the writ of execution which states whether the debt was paid or if the execution (the levied goods and chattels) had been turned over to the Branch Bank.
