This series consists of registers of the bank notes which the Branch Bank at Mobile counted, registered and cancelled by writing across the face of each note the word "cancelled" and referring to this procedure in the minutes of the Branch Bank. Therefore this series can be cross-referenced to the series entitled "minute books." Included are the date of the note, the name of the payer, the note number, the note letter, the names of the president and the cashier of the Branch Bank at Mobile who signed the note, and the denomination of the note. Also included on each page is the total amount of the cancelled notes brought forward.
