Summarizes his early life, conversion to the church in 1833, experiences in Kirtland, Ohio, Missiouri, and Nauvoo, Illinois, and emigration westward. Also includes account of his activities in the Salt Lake Valley, with daily entries recording his travel as a handcart missionary and missionary labors in Canada, April-October 1857.
