This collection contains seven oversized photographs of Alabama legislators from various years between 1886 and 1915 and various small carte de viste photographs of several unidentified legislators. The seven oversized photographs, which are larger compilations of many smaller photographs, are mounted on mats, with the exception of one which is a photocopy. Often the legislators are identified. Legislators for the years 1886-87, 1888-89, 1892-93, 1898-99 and 1915 are included. The 1915 photograph seems to have been taken by Herbert W. Coleman, a Montgomery photographer, the 1898-99 photograph was taken by Charles S. Livingston who had a studio in Montgomery, and the 1888-89 was taken by Sidney Pinney Tresslar who also had a studio in Montgomery. Also included in this collection are nine unidentified carte de viste photographs of various Alabama legislators. Their names and the years they served are unknown and some of them are in very poor shape.
