Correspondence, documents, general papers and ephemera of Daniel Lindsley Riggs, Thomas J. Riggs, Theodore L. Riggs, and other members of the Riggs family of Oregon and Connecticut. Account books of Daniel L. Riggs, Connecticut and Eola (formerly Cincinnati), Oregon, include: ledger, 1852-1862 (in box 2); ledger, 1862-1865; day book, 1863-1886; memo book, 1880-1883; and correspondence relating to the repair of cracked bells. Some books are not always complete or concurrent. Also includes: school notebooks of Thomas and Daniel Riggs; correspondence between James Berry Riggs and Sarah P. Riggs (his wife) and Sarah's parents, A.S. and S.H. Hughes, originating mostly in Polk and Waco Counties, Oregon, and Slaughter (now Auburn), Washington Territory. contains award certificate, Oregon State Agricultural Society, to D.S. Riggs, 1873.
