The Marine Operations (Ford Motor Company) records series consists of log books, correspondence, working papers, and cost reports covering Ford Motor Company's maritime operations. The series includes ships' log books for the M.S. Benson Ford and M.S. Henry Ford II as well as other tugs and barges; daily coal shipment summary reports; commissary and ships' stores purchase orders and supply reports; correspondence with the War Shipping Administration including information on five Ford-owned ships requisitioned by the U.S. Government during World War II and sunk: M.S. East Indian; S.S. Oneida; S.S. Onondaga; M.S. Green Island, and M.S. Lake Oswega. The series also includes post-war repair, salvage, and sale correspondence; general operating files including fuel purchases, damage claims, and cargo information; wage and labor rates, pay scales; union correspondence; and radio-telephone log books for the M.S. Benson Ford and M.S. Henry Ford II.

S. government funded expansion of facilities at Ford's plant on the banks of the Rouge River outside Dearborn, Michigan.
