Arthur S. Kennickell letter, 1899.

This collection contains a letter from an unknown author to Arthur Kennickell, 1899, reporting that the body of Col. W.H. Mabry o f the 7th Army Corps has been shipped home. The author describes the celebration of the Cubans in Havana over the American victory. The last page of the letter is missing, so the author's name is unknown.

Arthur S. Kennickell was born in Augusta, Georgia. He moved to Savannah with his parents at the age of 11. Kennickell was the shipping clerk for Frank & Co.
