Anna Belle Karow scrapbook, 1899-ca. 1920.

This collection consists of a scrapbook and folder of loose papers from the scrapbook. The scrapbook contains clippings of historic significance, such as the re-internment of the remains of Major-General Nathanael Greene in Johnson Square, Savannah, November 14, 1902; Gen. Daniel Stewart and his family; Midway Cemetery; Sgt. William Jasper's rescue of prisoners held by the British. There are others pertaining to the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Georgia Society of Colonial Dames of America. A few relate to the Karow family. In the folder of loose papers are a few receipted bills made out to Gray and Pindar, 1818-1819; a typed circular from the British Embassy in Washington, November 22, 1917, enclosing a list of undesirable British citizens in the United States; an undated letter to "Beautiful Lady" [Mrs. Karow?] signed Florence [Florence Olmstead?]; verses and clippings of news items and stories.
