Mildred Francis Horton papers, 1913-1960.

Files, letters, news clippings and photographs pertaining to Horton's experience in college, her work at Texas A&M University with the Extension Service as a Home Demonstration agent (1918-1935) and Vice Director (1935-1944), and regarding her service as executive secretary of the American Home Economics Association in Washington, D.C. (1947-1960). While working with the State Extension Service at Texas A&M, she was involved in the program to assist rural people in making cotton mattresses.
