Charles Corn (1936-2001), author and editor, was born August 22, 1936 in Macon, Georgia, to Ernest and Pauline (Pierce) Corn. He earned degrees from Washington and Lee University (A.B. 1958) and George Washington University (M.A. 1964). He served as a reconnaissance officer, diver, and ranger in the United States Marine Corps from 1958-1962.
