Ezekial Thatcher was clerk of the Parkville School District, Shasta County, Calif. He emigrated to California from Pennsylvania in 1850 and helped establish the first school district in the Parkville area. He is descended from the Thatchers of Uffington, England, the same family as Denis Thatcher, husband of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. From the description of H.H. James A. Moore joined the faculty of Oregon State University in 1979 as an Associate Professor and Extension Agricultural Engineer. He was promoted to full Professor in 1985 and served as head of the Bioresource Engineering Department from 1996 until his retirement in 2002. Moore earned his BS degree in 1962 from California State Polytechnic College, his MS in 1964 from the University of Arizona, and his Ph.D. in 1975 from the University of Minnesota.
