This collection consists mainly of material regarding invitations to Bishop Chilstrom's installation and the following dinner and reception. There are some memos from Bea Sorenson, Assistant Director for Finance, to Lowell Almen, Secretary of the ELCA. The invitations to the installation were extended by Lowell Almen to members of the Commission for a New Lutheran Church (CNLC), the ELCA's Transition Team, staff of the uniting church bodies (Lutheran Church in America, The American Lutheran Church, and the Association of Evangelical Lutheran Churches), ecumenical organizations, ELCA staff, college and seminary presidents, and Chilstrom's family and friends. Files are arranged alphabetically within subgroups.
