The centerpiece of this documentary about exploitation of women in record company marketing and advertising is a 1977 public performance by Leslie Labowitz that protests album covers depicting women as victims of sexual and other violence. Designed specifically for media coverage, the performance uses the media itself in a feminist critique of the media. The documentary includes interviews with performance participants recorded by the Los Angeles organization, Women Against Violence Against Women.
