Press clippings, 1979-1993.

The series consists of original newspaper clippings and photocopies of articles published in various newspapers throughout the state detailing events and issues concerning the Department of Law and Attorney General Robert Abrams, and reactions to them by the print media. There is a very small amount of related material present infrequently (such as a copy of a news release from the Attorney General's Office or an organization newsletter). The clippings were first gathered and maintained by the Executive Bureau Press Office through 1984, after which time the work was apparently continued through that office or by an unidentified successor unit.
