Collection includes letters, draft writings and lectures, and ephemera (some printed). The bulk consists of correspondence relating to Herkomer's work as a painter and educator, the Herkomer Art School at Bushey, sales of his paintings and other financial matters, and Royal Academy affairs; five items are illustrated. Included are four corrected proofs of Herkomer's published writings and lectures, three family letters and some ephemera relating to Herkomer and the Herkomer Art School.
