Papers related to Jourdain's contribution to the Encyclopédie française, 1934-1935.

The collection comprises the contract signed by Jourdain with the Comité de l'Encyclopédie française for an article on "Decoration - Ameublement," to be published in the 17th volume of the encyclopedia (1934 Aug. 29, original & copy); a letter acknowledging the contract signed by Pierre Abraham (1934 Sept. 18, copy); a letter reminding Jourdain of his promise to deliver the article on Aug. 31 (1934 Sept. 18, copy); a letter asking him to come and read the proofs of his article (1935 Sept. 18, copy); a request for the list of Jourdain's main decorative works to be included in his biography (1935 Oct. 21, copy); two notes in Jourdain's hand: one accompanying the bibliographic note for his article (1935 June 26); and the other, to Pierre Abraham, indicating the days when he could find him at home.
