[Album prepared for presentation to Arthur Thomas Bolton]. 1944.

Album prepared by the Wren Society as a tribute to Arthur Thomas Bolton on the occasion of the publication of the last of the twenty Wren Society volumes which he had edited from 1923 onwards. Unfortunately Bolton died suddenly on 17 January 1945, before the presentation could be made, and it was subsequently presented to his surviving son. The album includes a calligraphic inscription to A.T. Bolton, a leaf with autographs (some mounted) of members of the Society's executive committee, a leaf bearing the ms. minutes (mounted) of the Society's first meeting, and eleven leaves with mounted typed or ms. letters from colleagues and supporters; ten of the latter are numbered in ms. 1-10. Eleven other relevant letters and some related printed matter are inserted at end of volume.

[22] leaves, bound : Whatman paper dated 1944 ; 32 cm.
